Question

I was wondering if it?s possible to find out if the sales of Kodak?s Super8 film have been increased or not in the last years.

It?s possible to ask this to Kodak?

We already know that the sales of Fuji Single 8 film are about ten times smaller than the last 25 years. If there?s a rebirth of Super 8, would be good to know it in numbers of sales, specally in the last 3-4 years (in the Mini-DV era).

    Carlos.

I would like to know just that as well. I think that Kodak must find S8 a format that is viable since they are making Vision 200T and are planning on putting out the Vision2 500T. Lets hope that they give us the Ektachrome 100D.

    Good Luck

In one of my filmmaking books which is about 20 years old, it lists "current" super 8 filmstocks available at the time...there were many Ektachrome super 8 stocks available...: Ektachrome 40, Ektachrome 160, Ektachrome EF (125 ASA outdoors/80 ASA indoors), Ektachrome SM, ( a moderately fast 160 asa outdoors/100asa indoors)....plus a Kodak 4x b/w film for extremely low lighting....oh for the good old days of super 8!

I have about a dozen rolls of 4X B&W film. I liked it a lot--I used to love the huge grain that it gives. I am holding on to it for a good job. Where I can charge 35 dollars a roll.

    Good Luck
